| The grapes for our 2000 Ursa were hand-sorted
and crushed into small one-ton fermenters, where they were punched down by
hand 2-3 times per day. Following fermentation, the free-run juice was
transferred into 100% new French Oak barrels. After a year and a half,
special barrels were selected to create the Ursa blend. After some
additional time in barrel, and another 8 months aging in bottle, this wine
is now ready for your enjoyment.
Named for the great bear constellation, Ursa is our proprietary blend that was created to express a more elegant style of red wine. Lush, warm Merlot, blended with floral, Asian-spiced Cabernet Franc, was layered with the structure and focus of Cabernet Sauvignon. Expressive and approachable, this is a fine wine that may be enjoyed now. Production - 212 cases Retail Price - $26 |
